If Sarah Palin wore the skirt, the picture is her problem.

There is a huge problem out there with teenagers "Sexting" (sending sexual pictures in text messages). Because of our internet generation, many young girls and boys are learning that nothing sent out over the web is private, and you need to be careful what you do for a camera.

Sarah Palin is not a teenager; she is supposedly an intelligent woman. I would suspect that she knew she was wearing the skirt when pictures were taken for Newsweek.

To make a non-issue short, if the conservative movement is embarrassed by her picture, they should check their own newly anointed "messiah-ette." maybe it means her judgment is flawed.

This picture was taken for the August 2009 issue of Runners World. Apparently, she likes to run and that's what the interview was about. There's 7 pictures of her linked to the online site. If it's in a magazine and on the internet, it's fair game. She should be aware of that.

I do stand corrected.

She did not pose for the pic for newsweek, and did not sit with their writers.

But it doesn't change things in that she liked the pictures, and was happy for them to be published. So she should have no complaints now.

I thought Newsweek was a right wing rag. Why would they put up a picture of her like that? Do they think she's a waste too? So they're just capitalizing on the sensationalism?

I can just see all the conservatives nattering away now in real or manufactured outrage.

I find this Newsweek thing hilarious. I mean you can't take anything about her seriously, any more than you can tak Tonya Harding serious. Just sit back and enjoy a good laugh.

Newsweek should have used Trog's avatar for the cover. That would really be funny.

Well, Trig's avatar was, unfortunately, proven to be a photoshop pic, her head on someone elses body.

It is too bad, though, because it does show her personality. I am sure there is a picture of her that is equally revealing somewhere (most likely taken at a family reunion).

I think you might have missed the point. Everyone has known the photo in the avatar was photoshopped for ages. It doesn't matter. I still think that a phoney photo for a phoney is somewhat poetic.

I do not see why there is such an uproar over this. She looks fit, healthy and she is a very attractive woman. She would be a good role model for women who juggle a professional and family life but make the effort to maintain good health and fitness. I think it is quite flattering. I didn't here this same noise when pictures of President Obama on the beach in his swimming trunks.
Same old double standard I guess. Cheers!
