QOTD - What's Hurting President Obama?
Posted: 11/4/2009 7:24 am

I will admit, I didn't vote, because they didn't give the best option:

It's not the economy, or the war, or health care that is hurting the president...

IT IS LOUD MOUTH RADIO HOSTS - Rush gets 3 hours, Hannity gets 3, Glen Beck gets 2, Michael Berry (local but obnoxious when he goes national) gets 2, and then Lavine gets a couple. With 12 hours a day spent on bashing the president, it can almost get believeable.

It is the mind-numbed robots that follow them - that's right. People who only get their news from the talkshow hosts (you know who you are) while accusing people who voted for Obama of "drinking the kool-aid are the ones who really are taking big gulps. It is not so much your fault. Again, when it's entertaining, and one sided, it's hard to resist the hype. But there are two sides to every issue.

It is the psudo-news shows that hang on their words (Sorry Lana and J.P. - but you should be ashamed having Glen Beck to analyze to talk about the Obama administration... that just proves that news is not important to you, no matter what the Texas Radio Hall of Fame might think).

I say this as one who is in favor of open media. I don't want to see restrictions on the air waves or on the internet. I want Fox and CNN to have their opportunities equally. But everything must be weighed logically. I believe if people quit listening to the nay-sayers, and started looking at all sides, they might not think so badly.

Absolutely! They should have brought in a nonpartisan, nonbiased, independent journalist, say George Stephanopolous, that would have been based strictly on fact.

There are plenty of people who do not listen to the talk show hosts you mentioned who have come to believe Obama's plans are not in the best interest of the country. To dismiss the opposition to Obama as people unable to think on their own is as one sided and hateful as the radio hosts you condemned.

Just another biased question to responde to. Why am I NOT surprised.
Let's see, "the President's plummeting numbers."
Well now, had the chance to listen to Hannity tell another of his many lies.
Oh, no! His statement that President Obama has the biggest drop at this date in time.
Needs to check his facts. Biggest drop is owned by Mr. Reagan!
Yep, how do you spin that one?
Just lie!

I don't disagree with you about Hannity, etc., I just find that axiom to be true on both sides of the media aisle.

"Yep, how do you spin that one?
Just lie!"

Lieing seems to be a good strategy for some folk. But remember, it is only a lie if someone exposes it as untrue. If you say it loud enough and long enough a lie can become the truth.

BTW, the QOD starts with "Barack Obama marks one year in office". Someone might want to teach them KTRH folk how to count.

Hey, 10 months, a year, what's a couple of months among friends. Let's just go metric and call it a decamonth.

"Let's just go metric and call it a decamonth."

Son, you might be on to something. Has a nice ring to it. "Decamonth".

It would be great for the crackers because then they could count the months on just their fingers and thumbs. Wouldn't have to take their shoes off anymore and use their toes.

But I have one question: "Are you sure metric ain't commie?" Don't want no commie measurement systems here in the good old U S of A. We're different.

The correct answer is ‘all the above’ or maybe his lies.

A quote from the Bible seems to have political significance. “A wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a fool's heart at his left. Ecclesiastes 10:2” This may explain why talk radio is so overwhelmingly conservative. It is hard to be logical or rational about the leftist agenda. It sounds good. But another old saying – If it sounds too good to be true, it is extremely unlikely to be true.

So the thrust of the left is to attack the messenger because it is too difficult to attack the message.

Still nothing is pure – on either side.

You tell em there RIP. I had no idea that the Bible was so political. Do you think that might be why some folk don't want anything to do with Christianity? You may be on to something there. I'm surprised any Democrats are Christian, since as you say, the Bible don't want em. I wonder what all them Catholic Democrats are thinkin.

But I am confused on one thing. If Jesus was such a right winger, why did he act more like a communist? Was he trickin folks? Was he confused? Maybe suffered trauma to the head or something?

The Astros are about the only time I turn on KTRH. There is simply nothing worth listening to on the station. It neither educates nor entertains me.
