I feel GREAT about our new president. We have a president who is bright , well educated, and might I add very articulate. It is amazing to me the vitriolic, demonization this president and the office of the presidency has endured since the Republicans have lost power. First I would like to say that I am SELF EMPLOYED(27) YEARS, have a SIX FIGURE INCOME, and was most of my life a STAUNCH REPUBLICAN. I am also 52, have a health insurance premium approaching my house note, with a $5000 deductible.
He has systematically tackled every problem he has INHERITED. What a huge disappointing run the Republicans have had in office. You are handed a $155 billion dollar surpluswith a projected surplus of 3.7 trillion over the decade by the much maligned Clintons with an economy where everybody was benefitting. Eight years later a new president is handed a $1.2 trillion dollar deficit and a bucketful of steaming S---T! What have the Republicans done about health care NADA! What do they want to do about health care? Block any meaningful reform. This party is the defenders of major corporations and the wealthy at the expense of our middle class. NO more! And what sore losers you are. I want you to keep up the vitriolic, take no prisoners, run the moderates out of the party diatribe. You have condensed your party to a hard core of right wing nuts, intolerant, who think the President isn't born in America. Wow! That's who I want running my country.
I really like it when Republicans talk about fiscal responsibility. Can you hear the snickers when you mention that? If the Iragi war was such a priority for our security. Why not tack on a dollar gallon gasoline tax and PAY FOR IT! Oh no taxes are the work of the devil. The Republican party is a one trick pony. Whether it's hemorroids or the national debt the only remedy you have is TAX CUT? What is it now 21-22% of the population considers itself Republican, keep talking you'll get to zero soon! GO OBAMA!!!!!
