RED LIGHT CAMERAS

Have you ever gotten a ticket for approaching a red light intersection too fast?
Watch Dylan Gwinn's video on the KTRH Traffic blog about red light cameras....

(The video is on the left side under the title, "Traffic Videos".
I was surprised to hear that you can get ticketed for approaching the intersection too fast! Is that true? Has anyone ever gotten one?!

On my drive in I pass a redlight camera at Uvalde and I-10 and I see it get someone every few days.
Most of the time it's someone who just runs it as it turns red. There were a few cases where a lot of people were still rolling in so I'm not sure which one of them got the ticket.

I got caught at San Felipe and the Loop...coming to work last month. I saw the camera flash when I was in the intersection...the light was still yellow...I thought, no way will they send me a ticket. A couple weeks later, there it was in the mail. I went online to check out the pictures because I was sure the light was yellow while I was in the middle of the intersection...but the photo showed the light was red and I hadn't even gotten to the white line where you're supposed to stop yet...Huh? That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Oh, I paid the fine. To lazy to fight it.

It's cheaper to pay than fight.

What's up with that thing on Dylan's chin? Is he in a speed metal band?
