I'd guess the gun an ammo buisness is doing more than its share to spread fear amongst the talk radio crowd.

I wouldn't expect less. They're businessmen trying to sell their product. They're not the first people to use a negative like fear as a selling tool and they won't be the last. Think back to the Republicans this summer and the death panels. What's the difference?

I heard that guns/ammo guys new ad slogans include:

"Reach out and shoot someone."

"Who do you want to shoot today?"

"Just shoot it"

"Once you pop, you can't stop"

"Is it live, or is it Smith and Wesson?"

"Let your fingers do the shooting."

"Like a good neighbor, Smith and Wesson Farm is there"

"Everybody doesn't like something, but nobody doesn't like Smith & Wesson."

"With a name like Smith and Wesson, it has to be good."

"We make money the old-fashioned way....We shoot it."

"Takes a licking and keeps on shooting."

"Obey Your Trigger Finger"

"Bust a cap, not your tail."

My apologies for mentioning Joe Horn. I was trying to make the point that we would all be better off had this lady shot the scum versus shooting in the air, and had no idea it would start the whole conversation about Horn up again.

I'll try and use a less volatile personality in any future references.

Yes, I do know it all, I just can't always remember it.

"My apologies for mentioning Joe Horn." No worries. It's been a really slow month for news so folks have been working hard to find something to argue about.

But I do wonder about something Doc said. I wonder if they would argue as much if Horn had been convicted of murder on some degree, say at least manslaughter. Or if he was proven to be mentally unbalanced and locked away in the nut house. My guess is that there would be no argument in either of those 2 cases.

I reckon the fact that he did the killings and got away with them Scot free is what gets some folks riled up. I also don't think that folks would get so riled up if he clearly murdered those guys in self defense because they were trying to kill him. Unfortunately, he didn't.

I just hope that some trigger happy nut never comes in contact with me and attempts to threaten me with harm. If they do, they'll find themselves dismissed with extreme prejudice real quick -- and it will clearly be a case of self defense.

Get er done? Nope. Got er did.

Beer, Babes and Bikes. The time to party is coming soon.

You tell em there, Dant.

If they attempt to steal a TV, kill em. That way they can't steal another TV.

In fact, if they even look like they might steal a TV, kill them. The way they can't think about stealing TVs.

In fact, you probably ought to kill their families too. They might have bred kids who grow up to steal a TV.

And oh yeah, if they're hungry and they steal some food, kill em. That way they don't have to worry about diet and stuff like that.

They're probably all commies anyway. No self-respecting Redneck would go around stealing from folk. So if they look shifty, just kill em and call it a day.

Just remember, you get double points if you shoot em on the run. Don't forget to lead them.

Bust a cap in someone in the name of the Lord!

Can I get an Amen?

Aw shucks. I think you are just trying to butter me up because I'm just a poor old crazy Redneck trying to make sense of things. I'll bet you're making fun of me at your high society cocktail parties. I can see it now.

Maxis: "I know a redneck fellow named Troglodyte who is somewhat amusing."
Other person: "Well I certainly hope you haven't caught anything contagious from him. After all, they do breed."

Although I must say that my "Bust a cap in someone in the name of the Lord!" was a good modern rendition of "Kill a commie for Christ." Had a nice ring to it.

Now once again. Can I get an Amen?
